There are many wonderful ministries at Waycross FUMC, with plenty of opportunities to get involved and make a difference in the community.
Waycross FUMC's Children's ministry includes all kids from nursery age through elementary school. We have Sunday School classes for each age group. We also have a Parent's Night Out once a month where we have fun programming for kids and parents get a break!
Our LAMBS (Love All My Brothers and Sisters) ministry provides food for school-aged children to ensure they have decent meals over weekends and holiday breaks.
EDWL serves the community by providing assistance with utility bills and food.
Feed the Gap
Feed the Gap distributes bags of food to students in need during school breaks and holidays. Many local students depend on free school breakfasts and lunches for their main meals and school breaks can mean less access to meals.
This group knits & crochets hats, scarves, and prayer shawls to be given away. They meet on Wednesdays at 3 PM in the library. No needleworking experience necessary!
Quilts for Kids
Our local chapter of Georgia Quilts for Kids makes quilts for children that are seriously ill or injured, and for abused children in need. We meet on the 1st and 3rd Wednesday of each month from 10am - 3pm in the fellowship hall.
The Boy Scouts meet on Mondays at 6pm at the Scout Hut located behind the church.
